One of the things that we try to include on all deliveries is a Care Basket. Care Baskets include cleaning supplies, paper plates & napkins, broom, soap, pizza coupons, plastic ware and anything else that a family would need on a "move day". This is one of the unique and most effective ways we here at The Depot are able to show our neighbors that we really care about them. The love and effort put into these care baskets is truly appreciated by our friends.
We are always looking for "Movers". This is, at the core, what The Depot is all about. We pick up household donations from our donors, store them in our warehouse, and deliver them to the families in need. We are constantly looking for people who can fill this role. The first and third Saturday of each month are usually the big move day but we are also looking for help during the week.
If moving isn't your thing but you'd still like to volunteer, maybe you'd like to help us out in the warehouse. All of the furniture, appliances, and other household items need to be logged in, sorted, photographed for the web site or just plain organized.
The Depot occasionally goes "On the Road" to hand out bulk items such as, home goods, food, clothing, and other supplies in a Block Party type of fun setting with BBQ and Bounce House. The Depot needs volunteers to Serve and Play.
